“I don’t even know where the time went. I close my eyes and it feels like only yesterday I was in the rehearsal room at Hala de Uși in Ștefănești, Argeș, before our high school classes, meeting my bandmates for the first time. We were called Xenon. November 2016. We were just a bunch of wild kids who wanted to make music, to stop playing covers of our favourite bands. To write our own songs, leave something of our own behind and find our own voice. We had plenty of teenage angst, and it came out through distortion, cymbals and passionately whispered lyrics. So we quickly changed our name to something that reflected how we felt back then: Rana. Ten years, four releases, nineteen band members and plenty of ups and downs later, Mihai and I would like to invite you to our birthday celebration. See you at Control on November 3.” — Bogdan
